Fabio Coullet
A personal project in the heart of La Axarquía, Málaga.
Founded in 2020, the Fabio Coullet winery is named after its founder and manager, Fabio Coullet, an agronomical engineer with over two decades of experience whose professional path led him to work in many of the world’s most important wine producing countries.
Located in Almáchar, one of Málaga’s beautiful white villages, Bodega Fabio Coullet aims to capture and convey the exceptional qualities of the Axarquía region, an ancestral wine producing area of rugged beauty and impossibly steep vineyards with slopes up to 70 degrees, where no mechanization is possible and vineyard labour can only be assisted by mules, as in the olden days. Viticulture is precise, minimalistic and free of synthetic chemicals, with the aim of maximizing terroir expression.
An up-and-coming project, the Fabio Coullet winery from Málaga, Andalusia, produces low-intervention wines with traditional varieties, like the red varieties Grenache and the indigenous Romé, and the white varieties Muscat of Alexandria, Pedro Ximénez and Doradilla.
