Hidalgo Albert

Founded at the beginning of the XXIth century, the family winery Hidalgo Albert is situated in the Montsant National Park, only 2 km from Cartoixa d’Scala Dei, the birthplace of historic Priorat.

The vineyards of bodega Hidalgo Albert are located in “Les Salanques”, a lieu-dit in the village of Poboleda, in the northeastern, freshest area of Priorat. The winery has 8 hectares of vineyards, planted at altitudes from 330 to 580 metres above sea level. Besides a small extension of White Grenache, the winery is focused on cultivating red grapes, mainly the local varieties Grenache and Samsó (Carignan), accompanied by Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Franc.

In 2012, the Hidalgo Albert winery upgraded its winemaking facilities, which can currently process up to 50,000 kg of grapes. The wines of Hidalgo Albert are traditionally vinified in stainless steel tanks, after which they are typically aged in American or French oak barrels. The product portfolio is comprised of three red wines and one white wine.
