Izadi
Bodegas Izadi produces fine wines in the heart of Rioja Alavesa.
In 1987, Gonzalo Antón founded Bodegas Izadi together with three other partners. In the year 2000, the son of Mr. Antón joined the winery and succeeded in boosting the international expansion of the company. His new strategy included starting new projects in other prominent Spanish wine regions, such as Finca Villacreces in Ribera del Duero, Bodegas Vetus in DO Toro and Orben in DOCa Rioja.
The guiding principles of Izadi winery have remained unchanged since its inception. Thus, all of the wines by Izadi winery brand must respect terroir, meet high quality standards and be food- friendly. The wines are crafted with meticulous attention to detail in a state-of-the-art building which is perfectly integrated into the surrounding landscape.
Bodegas Izadi owns over a hundred plots of old grapevines farmed following integrated agriculture criteria. The low-yielding vineyards, around 50 years of age on average, are planted in poor soils which different compositions which result in some wonderfully diverse, high-quality grapes
