Mas d'en Gil

Created in 1998, when Pere Rovira bought 80 hectares of land in Bellmunt del Priorat, nowadays the Mas d'en Gil Viticultors estate comprises 125 hectares of a purely Mediterranean landscape, in which vineyards coexist with centenary olive trees, almond trees and hazel trees.

Interestingly, the Mas d'en Gil vineyards are scattered over 4 valleys, each of which has a particular microclimate, a specific kind of soil, and a different sun orientation. Besides this diversity of terroirs, most of the vines are rather old and have very low yields. All of this results in some truly exceptional wines, which feature among Priorat's absolute best.

The exquisitely crafted wines from Mas d'en Gil are produced mainly from the traditional red grapes Grenache and Carignan, and the white ones Macabeo and White Grenache. Besides, the winery also grows the international varieties Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Viognier. All of them have consistently enjoyed a great commercial and critical success.
