Señorío de Beade

Señorío de Beade

A family-run winery in DO Ribeiro.

Founded in 1987 by the González-Vázquez family, the Bodega Señorío de Beade is located in the village of Beade, Ourense, DO Ribeiro. Equipped with the latest winemaking technology, the winery makes traditional wines with a modern twist.

Bodega Señorío de Meade currently owns 7 hectares of vineyards, planted exclusively with Galician local varieties. The main white grapes are Treixadura, Albariño and Loureira, and the most important red varieties are Mencía, Sousón and Caíño. Both the soil and the climate of the Aria river valley are excellent for growing local grapes.

As of late, Bodega Señorío de Beade has taken decisive steps towards integrated farming, and plans to begin conversion to organic agriculture in the near future. Besides its own vineyards, the winery also supervises 20 hectares of vineyards owned by local grape growers.

In addition to the wines bearing the name of the winery, the product portfolio of the Señorío de Beade winery includes the Antonio González collection, a series of limited edition wines which includes a varietal Treixadura and one of the few varietal Godello wines from DO Ribeiro.
