Sindicat La Figuera

Spearheaded by René Barbier Jr, bodega Sindicat La Figuera was created with the aim of resuscitating Cooperativa Agrícola Aubacs i Solans, an old wine cooperative from La Morera, the highest town (575 metres) within  the DO Montsant. The project is currently run by six local wine growers.

Bodega Sindicat La Figuera produces two wines, a red and a rosé. Both are made solely from the famed Grenache vineyards of La Morera. Vines are 30 to 80 years old.

Vinification is carried out in the old coop underground concrete diposits. The red wine is aged for about 8 months.
