The world-class brandy Ximénez-Spínola Tres Mil Botellas is a testament to the incomparable winemaking expertise of the Ximénez-Spínola winery from Jerez.
Firstly, the distilled Pedro Ximénez wines were matured in 750-litre chestnut oak casks, previously infused with naturally sweet Pedro Ximénez wine, for 12 years minimum. The process is the same as that used to produce the brandy Diez Mil Botellas.
After that, a 2,100-litre batch was transferred into 225-litre American oak barrels, in which this Gran Reserva brandy was aged for a further 13 years. This brandy from Jerez was therefore aged for 25 years in total.
Amber-coloured with a greenish reflection, this Pedro Ximénez brandy is incredibly deep and complex on the nose. Suggestions of old wood, fine leather, dates, raisins and liquorice, underpinned by dark chocolate, spices and honeysuckle. The palate of the brandy Ximénez-Spínola Tres Mil Botellas is smooth and velvety, with amazing concentration of flavour and a memorable, never-ending finish.
