Highly sophisticated and unconventional, the whisky Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve Single Malt is produced by the Yamazaki distillery. The oldest malt whisky distillery in Japan, it was established in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii in the vicinity of Kyoto, an area known for the softness and purity of the water.
This Single Malt Whisky from Japan was meticulously fermented and distilled. After that, this Japanese Whisky matured in Sherry oak casks, Mizunara oak casks and Bordeaux oak barrels, which are responsible for its uniquely fruit-driven personality.
Amber-coloured with some golden reflections, the whisky Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve Single Malt has a complex nose carrying aromas of sour cherries, raspberries and forest berries, with hints of white peach, candied citrus rind and a dash of cardamom, vanilla and incense. The palate of this Yamazaki whisky is layered, rich and deep, a symphony of spicy, smokey and citrusy berries with a very long, smooth finish.
