From a grand tradition of grape cultivation, the Jaumandreu winery in a benchmark in the recovery of winemaking in the Pla del Bages region of Spain.

The Jaumandreu winery of Pla de Bages has been cultivating wines in this region since the 20th century. Today, this region is still ideal for grape cultivation. This winery was constructed following traditional Catalan “masía” architecture from this winery´s past generation of winemakers. The current day Jaumandreu winery was founded in 2004 by a team of multi-disciplinary professionals: an expert in gastronomy, communication, marketing, and agricultural production. Each of these professionals brought their unique vision to this winery´s mission to produce expressive wines with a unique personality of their terroir while maintaining an aesthetic appeal with an elegant image that represents their origins using references and elements from their unique environment. Today this winery is owned by Sentits BCN.

The Jaumandreu winery of Pla de Bages has over 60 hectares of their own grapevines, some of which were planted in the late 20th century before the phylloxera epidemic. Today the Jaumandreu winery is expanding their vineyards. This winery crafts all of their grape varietals following strict organic and biodynamic procedures. The native white grape varietal Picapoll, is a rare Spanish grape varietal that this winery crafts for their Més Que Paraules wine vintage which is rounded off by Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay grapes.
